Presider: The Lord is good and forgiving, merciful to all who call on Him. With confidence let us ask for help with what concerns us.

1. That Pope Leo and Bishop _____ teach us to work for peace and justice that we may experience peace and justice in our parishes, nation, and the world, we pray...

2. That those who control the economy invite the poor and homeless into the mainstream of economic life, we pray...

 3. That the Holy Spirit inspires politicians and diplomats to seek justice in efforts to achieve peace and justice among citizens and among the states of the world, we pray...

 

4. That expectant mothers having a difficult pregnancy have access to medical and mental help to preserve their life and the life of the unborn, we pray...

 

5. That dysfunctional families seek and find assistance from professionals to resolve conflicts, injustice, and misunderstandings, we pray...

 

6. That health care professionals, professional security personnel, judges and juries, and our military at home and abroad experience community support and safety in their work, we pray...

 

7. That educators beginning a new year are supported by parents and inspired by the Holy Spirit to develop creative and engaging lesson plans and methods of instruction,  those who died this week (list here) and those approaching death’s door are encouraged by faith and sacrament. Presider: Father, Creator and Sustainer, hear these prayers and look kindly on us. Answer our prayers and relieve us of chaos and evil. We ask this in the name of your Son who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit now and forever.
