Palm Sunday

Each week now, Barbara Pegg & Charlotte Mercer - Lay Dominicans - in the Raleigh, NC area, as well as Msgr. Brockman of Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral are together providing General Intercessions for the upcoming liturgies.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

1. We pray for the world that You love, Father, and into which You sent Jesus to sho us the Way to Love & to serve You and each other... We pray to the Lord.

2. For Pope Leo: Raise up alongside him leaders in Your Church who want peace and preach and act for peace... We pray to the Lord.

3. Lead us to follow Your Truth, Your peace and Your Love that is even stronger than death... We pray to the Lord.

4. We pray for wisdom in leadership and a new resolve to find diplomatic solutions in war torn countries, especially now in Iran, and in suffering places around your world... We pray to the Lord.

5. For a new outpouring of God’s Truth in the leadership of the United States of America... We pray to the Lord.

6. Heal our blindness to the people suffering in Your world, Lord... We pray to the Lord.

7. We pray for renewed efforts related to climate change, for a deeper desire and a stronger will to save our common home... We pray to the Lord.

8. Help us respond with new insight to the question Pilate addressed to You Lord and to Your followers: “What is Truth?”.. We pray to the Lord.

9. Create in each of us a deeper desire to follow You this Lent, Lord; then, bring us into Your Easter renewed and ready to follow where You lead... We pray to the Lord.
