The Commemoration of All Souls
(Cycle A)
Celebrant:
To Our God Who is Life, we pray…
Deacon/Reader:
1. For Pope Leo, and for Bishop Luis, as they shepherd us in living Our Lord's
Paschal mystery, His dying and rising, that we may be witnesses to the hope that
is ours in Christ, especially to those who have little and those who do not know
God, we pray to the Lord…
2. That the God of Life may inspire all those captivated by power, violence and
the culture of death, to a conversion of heart in the Light and grace of God’s
peace; and for our First Responders and our military, we pray to the Lord…
3. For all those who find it difficult to hope, that they may remember God’s
goodness to them, be opened to His Wisdom spoken by others; and so begin to
trust in God, that they may be renewed in Him, we pray to the Lord…
4. For all those who care for the terminally ill and dying, those in palliative
care, as well as those in emergency rooms, that God may guide and help them, to
be an example of faith, especially to those to whom they attend, we pray to the
Lord…
5. For those grieving, especially those who lost a spouse, a parent, a child, a
loved one, a friend in the last year, that God may grant them hope in their
mourning, and consolation in their sorrow, we pray to the Lord…
6. For our personal needs and all our concerns of mind and heart, which we offer
to God in a moment of silence…(pause)… we place these now on this altar, as our
offering on this day of remembrance, we pray to the Lord…
7. And that all those who have died, now in
Eternity with God, may experience the depth of His mercy, and so be readied for
the fullness of His Light and His Joy, in the Banquet Feast of Heaven…
Celebrant:
Loving Father, God of the living and the dead, hear us now as we pray, all in
the Holy Name of Your Risen Son, through Christ our Lord.
R: Amen.
Prayers of the
Faithful ARCHIVE.
